The Aphrodite Hosta is one of the most fragrant hosta you can buy. Large, tall stems of double white above mounds of glossy green foliage from late July to September. This Hosta is attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Like all Hostas, it will grow just fine in about any type of soil but it does best where there is plenty of moisture and rich soil. The Hosta is a plant that seems to almost thrive in humidity and heat when others are wilting makes it a great choice for Oklahoma summers.
Provide slightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained, humusy soil. Avoid harsh sun exposures. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish an extensive root system; once established, reduce frequency.
