The Clarence Iris is a cool-blue, bearded iris. Clarence produces beautiful bicolor blooms in spring, and then shows them off again in late summer. Clarence has won multiple prestigious awards, including the Wister Medal, and is one of the most reliable re-bloomers around. Easy to grow and lovely in a border or any cottage style garden.
Provide enriched, humusy, moisture-retentive soil. Maintain evenly moist soil in first growing season to establish root system. Once established, tolerates soggy soils and standing water in growing season; reduce soil moisture in winter to prevent root rot. Remove faded foliage before new leaves emerge. Divide every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
