Easily grown in average, well-drained soils. Best flowering occurs with full sun exposure. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish root system; reduce frequency, once established. Climbs by twining; will not hurt wood. Prune annually to control size; will recover from heavy pruning within a single season.Pruning time: late winter or early spring.
