The Goldflame Honeysuckle is a semi-deciduous, summer bloomer.  Gorgeous pink-purple buds open up to golden, trumpet shaped flowers on long vines. Excellent in a carefree hedge, or ‘Cottage Garden.’ This vining plant attracts bees and hummingbirds.

The Goldflame is a charming, care-free vine. This summer bloomer has fragrant purple-pink buds open to fragrant yellow flowers, making a lovely accent in a cottage garden or anywher you need a cheerful accent of color. The Goldflame honeysuckle is an excellent choice in a "butterfly garden" planted as a backdrop alongside other butterfly attractors like coneflowers, butterfly bush, and bee balm. The Goldflame Honesuckle is also a tasty favorite of Hummingbirds! This Honeysuckle keeps some of its leaves in warmer zones but in climates with colder winters, it drops alot of its' leaves. The Goldflame Honeysuckle can be left to ramble over fences and trellises but also can be kept pruned back to be more of a large, flowering shrub.

Easily grown in average, well-drained soils. Best flowering occurs with full sun exposure. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish root system; reduce frequency, once established. Climbs by twining; will not hurt wood. Prune annually to control size; will recover from heavy pruning within a single season.Pruning time: late winter or early spring.
