Tall Garden Phlox are a gardners dream. Easy to grow and maintain once established, large, cotton-candy shaped flowerheads bloom regularly through a long Summerseason on dense, sturdy stems that rarely need staking. Assorted colors. Attractive to butterflies and bees.
Tall Garden Phlox have been a favorite in American gardens for well over 100 years. It’s not hard to see why. They are long blooming, hardy and long-lived, easy of culture, often fragrant and never need staking. They produce huge billows of bloom in mid-late summer, in a range of colors from pure white to red, with nearly every shade of pink, lavender, salmon and purple in between. They grow happily in most parts of the country and, properly planted and sited, they are largely pest and disease free, and provide decades of effortless bloom. They make an exellent backdrop for other Perennials or used as a cottage border. Also excellent if you wish to attract Butterflies and Bees!
Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Remove old flowers to prolong flowering. Cut back to the ground at the end of the season.
