When to trim Azaleas
Many people ask us “when is the best time to trim my azaleas?” Trim them after the last bloom has died. The new growth comes on after they bloom. The new buds for the flowers are set soon after the new growth…so you have only a small window for trimming. Do not trim very much…usually 6 to 8 inches at most. If you have some you want to experiment with then go for it,,,next year will reveal the results.
